Glen Rock is a relatively small community of approximately 11,000 residents in only an area of about 2.7 square miles. Located just 22 miles west of New York City makes it easy for commuting to New York City for work or for pleasure, yet allows the enjoyment of a small town.

With its beautiful tree lined streets, Glen Rock is a vibrant, thriving town comprised of residents of many different ages, backgrounds and interests. The town is particularly beautiful in the spring and fall and has several parks and many recreation al fields, as well as the Thielke Arboretum, which has a beautiful gazebo and fountain for enjoying the outdoors.

The town is well known for its excellent school system. Glen Rock’s youth have many activities available to them through the town and the school system, whether it’s in sports, the arts or community service.

The Mayor's Wellness Campaign brings Walk with the Mayor to the Glen Rock Arboretum beginning on Sunday, April 30th at 10am. It will continue every Sunday at 10am for eight weeks, finishing up on June 18th. We will meet in the pool parking lot, right near the Arboretum. Spring Clean Up Pilot Program to Return Monday April 17th and Monday April 24th The Spring Clean Up Pilot Program will return this year. On Monday April 17th pick ups will occur in the North/West area of Glen Rock, and on Monday April 24th in the South/East. Acceptable items include: Leaves Branches no bigger than four inches diameter, and shorter than three feet long (please note they must be tied together) Grass Flowers Loose items should be in trash containers or biodegradable bags. Please place all items on the curb - please ensure items are NOT placed in the street. Items that are not included, and will not be picked up are: Dirt Rocks Concrete Logs Plastic bags and plastic plant pots No item should exceed 40 pounds. Debris from tree removal, major pruning, or landscaping projects will not be taken. The trucks will pass you by if you put anything out that is not allowed per the above list.
