We are so excited to announce-- we have three interns with us this summer! Meet Richie! "I am currently a rising senior at Hobart and William Smith colleges pursuing a double major in Computer Science and Economics, who fell in love with Geneva more and more ever time I passed by Seneca Lake. This internship allowed me to engage in a pure act of citizenship specialized to my skills, where I now have the opportunity to enhance the digital platforms used to capture and communicate the essence of our uniquely urban city."

The Geneva Fire Department's Primary Training Course started on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. This course covers the basic skills needed to function on the fire ground, in a safe and effective manner. The Department's Safety and Health Plan reads "All members who engage in structural firefighting shall have completed the Geneva Fire Department's Primary Training Course." This is a 6 week course with topics like: Introduction to Geneva Fire Department, Engine Company Operations, Self Contained Breathing Apparatus, Ladder Co. Operations, Rescue Operations/Blood Borne Pathogens, and CPR/AED. This course is an annual new Fire Fighter Course. This year there are 15 attendees.
