facebook.comPalm Sunday is the final Sunday of Lent, the beginning of Holy Week, and commemorates the triumphant arrival of Christ in Jerusalem, days before he was crucified. Palm branches are widely recognized symbol of peace and victory, hence their preferred use on Palm Sunday.
Our culture week ends with Irish Dancers from St. Joseph's Irish Dance in Hickory. Alumni Elizabeth Levine was one of the dancers! Thank you to the dance group for a beautiful performance!

Saturday, April 14 at 9am, the Community Foundation Run 2018 will take place. This is a fun day where over 5,000 people come together for a 5k run, 2k fun walk, live music, entertainment, and food all in effort to support the good works of non-profits in Gaston County. Once again, St. Michael Catholic School is an eligible recipient of donations made to the Run. All donations earmarked for St. Michael Catholic School will be eligible for a matching grant, up to $10,000. All Funds received from this fundraiser enhance our tuition assistance program. On behalf of St. Michael, I ask for your prayerful consideration in donating to St. Michael Catholic School through the Community Foundation Run 2018. FAB 2018! The SMCS FAB event was held Saturday, March 17th and what an amazing evening! The class basket and artwork was beautiful, the auctions were exciting and fun was had by all!
