Holy Family Academy is a pre-K to grade 8, private, Catholic school with over 90 years of academic excellence, located in Gardner, Massachusetts. Holy Family Academy is a pre-K to grade 8 private Catholic school with over 90 years of academic excellence. Our school supports two campuses centrally located in Gardner that teach grades Pre-K to 4 and grades 5 to 8 students. Our strong liberal arts program fosters independent thinking and academic excellence in our students across subject areas. Our holistic approach to education allows students to grow academically, in leadership skills, and in faith. Our Catholic atmosphere inspires values of hospitality, respect, and charity, and provides a safe educational haven for children to thrive and grow.
Holy Family Academy is located in Gardner, MA, and is easily accessible from Routes 2, 101, and 68.
We offer nutritional hot lunch services on campus. Physical education, art, music, and computers are all part of our well-rounded curriculum.
BEFORE and AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
We have an extended care program before school that begins at 7 am, and after school that is open until 5:30 pm.
PRESCHOOL PROGRAM
Holy Family Academy offers an academic and social enriched preschool program that will prepare your children for kindergarten. Holy Family Academy preschool program is an affordable option to daycare and au pair childcare services. The school accepts children that are 3 or 4 years old and offers a variety of programs (2, 3 or 5 days, full or half days) depending upon the child’s age and parent’s choice.
SPORTS
Holy Family Academy offers a variety of opportunities to participate in sports activities:
Holy Family Academy basketball teams include teams for both girls and boys, with teams for grades 5 & 6 and teams for grades 7 & 8.
Students may participate in several intramural sports programs offered at various times across the school year including basketball, beach-ball volleyball, and whiffle ball.
The Ski Club Program skis once a week for 6 weeks at Wachusett Mountain.
In addition, many of our students participate in sports at the public schools within their own cities/towns.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
In addition to sports, Holy Family Academy students may participate in a range of extracurricular activities.
Holy Family Academy students may participate in the school chorus. In addition, private instrument and voice lessons are available for a fee. Students taking instrument lessons also perform in a school band. Both the chorus and band perform in school concerts.
Each year the school stages a musical production that many students enjoy participating in. A number of our young performers have also participated in stage productions at the Mount Wachusett Community College’s Theater at the Mount.
Various Scout troops meet at our school, including Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Daisy Scouts.
SPECIAL PROGRAMS
Each year, sixth grade students spend a week at Nature’s Classroom.
Catholic Schools Week at the end of each January is a week of fun activities for students.

Suzanne is participating in the Holy Family Academy Fun Run!
Thank you to everyone who has pledged or donated to this major school fundraiser. The Fun Run has been postponed until Tuesday so we are continuing to collect donations over this weekend. If you do not know a child currently attending and would like to support the school, you may make a flat donation by credit card for Suzanne. We still need $8,000 to reach our goal of $25,000.
