Fine hair does exceptionally well with a cut similar to Anita's. Keeping layers to a minimum, the cut focuses on activating natural texture and building weight lines to create fullness galore! We addressed using the right products for the look, as well as how to style at home during our session. This style took 10 minutes total including blow dry time to complete. Anita has been a brave soul- we've cut about 10 inches off her length since July! She looks beautiful at any length, but this cut is so fresh and chic. And feels so freeing!

It was a fantastic day at Blush today, and the beautiful and brave Karena allowed me to create a look that involved taking several inches off of her length, and a complete change of technique with her hair color. So many clients are enjoying the "rooty" and "grown out" color look, and the best part is that most are able to come far less frequently than they experienced with traditional highlights. In Karena's case, I formulated a base color that is enhanced from her natural, but will blend seamlessly as her hair grows, and I anticipate she'll be able wear this color for nearly 3 months without maintenance. I was inspired by her smokey natural undertones, but built in beautiful beiges, creams, and a few icy pieces. When we were finished, her skin tone was so well complemented, she looked like a Swedish beauty!

The fabulous Chelsey has incredibly thick hair and lots of natural texture and wave. It's been such a busy and packed summer, and I've not posted in months! So much of the hair color I created this summer was light, bright, cool- toned, and icy. The incredible Jackie was one who I took early summer very light around her face and through her ends in a "grown out" highlight look. Last week we gave Jackie her new fall look by adding dimension for days using shades of nude, tan, rose, and hazelnut. It never ceases to amaze me as well, just how impactful professional, high- quality color (and proper understanding of pH) is on the shine and condition of the hair.
