Top Class Moving Inc. not only worked their tails off to make sure the new Valerie's House was ready for kids- we had a group the very same night we moved!- they did the entire move at no cost! We didn't expect it but owner Jay said he felt moved to help us out with this major expense! These guys were professional, great at what they did and made things happen! They are hard working and have had the same team of employees for the past decade. In an industry where its hard to know who to go with, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND TOP CLASS MOVING!
Valerie's House is at Florida Gulf Coast University to participate in Homecoming week and share service learning opportunities 💙💚 Come say hi!
Often times when someone dies we find ourselves unsure of what to say to comfort someone who is grieving. Our kids and caregivers shared the things that were said to them that were hurtful and uncomfortable as well as the comforting things that were said or things they wish people would say during that time.
Our hearts go out to the families of the victims of this unimaginable act of violence in Parkland. The school shooter had lost his mom two months ago and his dad died sometime before that. This further emphasizes to the community the importance of safety nets like Valerie’s House for children. The young man obviously had severe mental problems, however, one has to wonder if he was a part of an environment that could somehow show him he had people that cared for him, could we have somehow helped prevent this tragedy. No one ever knows, but we as a community must support organizations that try their best to help. Valerie's House will be speaking on both Fox 4 and WINK TV tonight. https://www.cnn.com/2018/02/14/us/nikolas-cruz-florida-shooting-suspect/index.html
