Fort Carson ACS Army Family Team Building (AFTB)
Description
This is the official Fort Carson Army Family Team Building (AFTB) Facebook page. AFTB prepares all of America’s Army to function at the highest level in varied situations with minimal support. On December 16, 1998 Army Chief of Staff of the Army General, Dennis Reimer, and Sergeant Major of the Army, Richard Kidd, signed a proclamation declaring December 16th as AFTB Day.
Army Family Team Building (AFTB) prepares everyone in "America's Army" to function at their highest level. It prepares families for any situation. Knowledge is power, AFTB provides participants with information to help understand the functions of the Army and the Soldier's role. AFTB offers the tools to assist in improving the family well-being. Available resource information is also provided, creating a higher level of self-sufficiency in times of separation.
Classes are generally scheduled during the day, but are available at night and during the weekends upon request. Classes do not have to be taken in sequence; however, each level is developed with a specific target audience in mind. Besides learning a wealth of information, participants meet with other spouses within a unit or class. Free, limited childcare, for children registered with CYSS is included with reservations.
