Description
In 1984, John W. Lockhart Sr., received a vision from God to start a new church. Today, the UCMBC is still growing & doing the work of the Lord. The United Christian Missionary Baptist Church was founded in 1984 by the late John W. Lockhart Sr. With a vision & only 29 members, Pastor Lockhart continued on doing the work of the Lord until his health began to fail in 2000. Since then, former pastor's include Rev. Norris L. Latham (2000-2007), Rev. Anthony D. Latham (2007-2014). Our current Pastor is Rev. Willie S. Brown. The United Christian Missionary Baptist Church has seen many ups & downs but we have learned to depend on Jesus for He promised not to ever leave us or forsake us. Our theme song is, "We've Come a Long Way". We have come a long way & with the guidance of the Lord, we know that our church family will continue to grow stronger & stronger.
