Ministry can be a lonely and sometimes confusing path. As a pastor, you preach Sunday after Sunday and, at times, wonder if people are really even listening. People come and people go; new faces arrive, while old faces leave. It can be a roller coaster of internal emotions because you're human and have feelings like everyone else. No matter what you see on television, pastoring is not a glamorous calling. There were no "celebrities" in the Bible, only those who had a burning conviction to declare the Gospel of Jesus Christ to anyone that had an ear to hear. In this age of so many disractions and so many claims of "enlightenment", the one constant through it all is that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forevermore. If you have a true Pastor leading you, rest assure they are not doing it for the flame, bright lights or financial gain, (because 95% of pastors never receive any of those things)... We do it because, as Paul stated, "Woe unto me if I preach not the Gospel!" #prayforyourpastor Hope you guys enjoy your Sunday...
