Although little more than a bridle path, the first road to enter Genesee County was a trail from Saginaw to Flint, cut by the United States Army during the winter of 1822-1823. Saturday Show 2019

Drivers began arriving before dawn to secure a spot for the SATURDAY SHOW. The Opening Ceremony included a special salute to our veterans, and a military flyover. Thousands strolled the "bricks," enjoying the fun that has become synonymous with one of the nation's biggest and best FREE car shows. There were vintage Buicks @Factory One, a Corvette Reunion near the Durant Hotel, and classic and collector vehicles of every age and description on the streets of Downtown Flint, Celebrity Guests from TV's "Counting Cars" on the Flat Lot, and more. Special thanks to our faithful sponsors, committee members, and a host of volunteers for all you did to make the 15th Anniversary Celebration of Back to the Bricks® a tremendous success! Cruise "N" Concert 2019

A few pics from Friday's Hot Dog Lunch, and the Cruise "N" Concert. Highlights included young recruits being inducted into the armed forces, Dave Lagness singing "God Bless the USA," special recognition to Founder/Board Chair Al Hatch for 15 years of service to Back to the Bricks®, fireworks, and two fabulous bands, "Old Days" and "Surf's Up." Don't miss the SATURDAY SHOW, with a salute to veterans & a military flyover during the Opening Ceremony @10AM, vintage Buicks @Factory One, Corvette Reunion near the Durant Hotel, and classic cars of every age and description on the streets of Downtown Flint, Celebrity Guests from TV's "Counting Cars" on the Flat Lot, Back to the Bricks® Root Beer, and more. Rolling Cruise Thursday Night 2019

A few of my favorite pics from Day 2 of the Rolling Cruise and Thursday's Appreciation Party at GM Factory One for Sponsors, Committee Members, & Special Guests of Back to the Bricks®. Bring your LAWN CHAIR, and join us FRIDAY for the FREE outdoor CRUISE "N" CONCERT at the Riverfront in Downtown Flint. Classic cars can park on Saginaw St. after 5 PM. "Early birds" can check out the show cars, or grab a bite to eat. The "bricks" in front of the Water Street Pavilion will be a sea of lawn chairs as fans gather for this MUST SEE concert with not one, but two bands, and a few surprises. "OLD DAYS", Flint's own Chicago tribute band, will open for "SURF'S UP", nationally acclaimed Beach Boys tribute band from California. For more info, https://backtothebricks.org/concert-2019/

Rolling Cruise 2019

Wednesday, the SWAP MEET was open from 8-5 PM @ the Kirkridge Presbyterian Church, G-8070 S. Saginaw, Grand Blanc. Check it out TOMORROW, same time, same place! The ROLLING CRUISES, led by Grand Marshall, Cheryl Sclater, Public Relations Manager for ELGA Credit Union, began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Mott's "Applewood" Estate. Edward Renehan, author of a new biography on the life of Charles Stewart Mott, was on hand to meet drivers, and autograph his book. Car lovers will have another opportunity to watch or participate in the 2nd Day of the Rolling Cruise on THURSDAY, Aug.15th. "Bricks Flicks" 2019

MAIN EVENT WEEK kicked into high gear on Tuesday as a capacity crowd enjoyed an evening of family fun at the US 23 Drive-In Theater, featuring classic cars, a DJ, country crooner Dave Lagness, and the movie, "American Graffiti." WED.&THURS., the SWAP MEET will be open from 8-5 PM @the Kirkridge Presbyterian Church, G-8070 S. Saginaw in Grand Blanc. The ROLLING CRUISES will officially begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 3PM, WEDNESDAY, Aug.14th at Mott's "Applewood" Estate. Car lovers will have another opportunity to watch or participate in the 2nd Day of the Rolling Cruise on THURSDAY, Aug.15th.
