The City of Fergus Falls will be conducting clean up events during the weeks of May 15 and 22 for our RESIDENTIAL customers. In your May utility bill, you received a "ticket" authorizing access for one load of unwanted items at the landfill. YOU WILL NEED TO BRING YOUR TICKET WITH YOU. Please also bring proof of your residency. Ward One Residents: Monday May 15 and Tuesday May 16 (if you vote at the Fire Station) Ward Two Residents: Thursday May 18 and Friday May 19 (if you vote at the Armory– also Woodland Heights neighborhood) Ward Three Residents: Monday May 22 and Tuesday May 23 (if you vote at M-State) Ward Four Residents: Thursday May 25 and Friday May 26 (if you vote at the Hillcrest gymnasium) Landfill Hours: May 15-26 Monday-Friday 8 am-7 pm (please note the extended hours from the original message) Saturday May 20, 8 am - 4 pm Saturday May 27, 8 am-12:00 noon The following items will be accepted at no charge and in these quantities this day. You may be charged in you bring additional items. Household garbage Demolition debris Appliances 2 items total Furniture 2 items total TV/Monitors 2 items total Computer materials 2 items total Small electronics 2 items total Tires (regular vehicle or light duty trucks) 4 items total Fluorescent bulbs 6 items total Ballasts (must be removed from fixture) 6 items total Treated lumber Mattresses & box springs Carpet and padding (no wider than 6 feet) Scrap metal and batteries can be disposed of at no cost All materials must be contained in ONE SECURED LOAD. (a load is defined as a pickup truck or light utility trailer) One load total per household.

Lake Region Run Road Closure Notice The Lake Region Run takes place on the morning of Saturday, June 3rd. This event has over 1,000 participants so expect road closings, delays, and no parking zones. Friberg Avenue will be closed to traffic from Summit Avenue to Fir Avenue from 7:30am to 12:00pm. Cherry Avenue from Friberg to Cleveland, Lakeside Drive on Lake Alice, and the North side of Summit Avenue from Mill Street to Friberg Avenue will have hundreds of participants, please plan accordingly. Please watch for race participants and share the road. Feel free to get out on the route to cheer the runners as they pass by! Looking to save $25? Register for Park and Rec baseball and softball programs by May 12. Midget T-Ball (Ages 4-5) games are Friday mornings at 9:00 am T-Ball (ages 5-6) games are Monday & Wednesday mornings at 9:00 or 10:30 am Toss (ages 7-8) games are Tuesday & Thursday mornings at 9:00 or 10:30 am Dwarf (ages 9-10) games are Monday & Wednesday evenings at 5:30 or 7:00 pm - practices are TBD by volunteer coaches Pony (ages 11-14) games are Tuesday & Thursday evenings at 5:30 or 7:00 pm - practices are TBD by volunteer coaches Girls Softball (ages 9-11) games are Tuesday & Thursday at 12:30 pm Please register by May 12 to avoid a $25 late fee. The Fergus Falls Police Department will be conducting Alcohol Server Training on Thursday, May 25th at either 10:30 or 2:00 pm. Letters were sent today to all Fergus Falls businesses that serve or sell alcohol. It is a good place to train new employees or a refresher for others. If you have any questions, contact the PD at 332-5555. This training will be taught by MN Municipal Beverage Association.

Glacial Edge Trail Master Plan Open House

The City of Fergus Falls is in the final stages of planning for the future Glacial Edge Trail that will create connections with other trail systems. The master plan will identify the specific route of this 14 mile trail and to identify trailhead locations and connections to other trails. Come and help guide the city's phased development of the trail over the next 10-20 years.

Fire Department Pancake Breakfast and Open House

Fergus Falls Fire Fighters Association Pancake Breakfast Sunday April 30. Food served from 7:30 am-1:00 pm at the Fire Station. Menu includes sausage links, scrambled eggs, coffee, milk and ALL THE PANCAKES YOU CARE TO EAT! Cost is $7 for adults, children ages 6-12 $4 and Kids ages 5 and under eat for free. Proceeds will help purchase specialized firefighting equipment
