On this #GivingTuesday, we'd like to announce the new "Tommy Leonard Charitable Fund – Nonprofit of the Month” which each month in 2018 will award one local nonprofit organization a $2500 gift to carry forth Tommy’s philanthropic spirit. Its first recipient will be the Falmouth firefighters' “Homeless For The Holidays” event to collect food and toys during the holiday season. Firefighters and EMTs will live and sleep outdoors at 587 Main Street to raise awareness of homelessness. To reach those in need locally, they will work in cooperation with the Falmouth Service Center. #giveback The 2017 Homeless For The Holidays event in Falmouth runs from Friday, December 8th at 12 PM to Sunday, December 10th at 12 PM. In case there were any doubts about how great our fields are for the Tommy Cochary High School Mile, check out the results for last weekend's MA All-State Division 1 Cross Country Championships! Winning the girls' race was 2017 TCHS Mile Champion Grace Connolly, while 2017 TCHS Mile runner-up Tristan Shelgren won for the boys! Congratulations!
