Thank you Enterprise Rotary Club for the sod you donated and laid for us this past weekend! We very much needed and appreciate it! Our dogs and owners promise to do their best to care for it! A reminder our park is funded by donations only. It is on city property, and the parks and Rec department do maintain the park, but it is all the donors and the Bark Board that keep it going. Donations are a,ways welcome! JF

WE HAVE NEW GRASS! I love our Parks and Recreation Department. Sent an email a couple weeks ago and BOOM! Magically a couple pallets worth of sod appears. If your dog dislodges any sod please replace it and tamp it back down. Ideally we should also try to limit traffic one the sod but that would be a forlorn hope. 😀

Despite showing no life for the entire winter it seems our Fall 2016 planting day was no totally in vain. We have 3 small trees still surviving of the original 6 and 10 Beautyberry bushes currently sprouting from the original 18 planted. I've placed small dirt mounds around the survivors. If your at the Bark Park and are emptying a dirty water bowl please pour it on the plants! Many Thanks to Coffee County Master Gardeners Beth Behar and Delores Swensen. Also to all who came out in the fall to dig through that rotten hard ground!

I've sent an email to the Director of Parks and Recreation about the erosion problem at the Bark Park. It is getting treacherous out there at the entrance and now its getting so dogs can escape.

Hi everyone as the park begins to go in to full swing, please remember to enjoy the park as often as you can. Please help us keep the park clean and in good condition. Follow the rules and help others do so. Please remember we are privately funded by donations. Donations can be sent to: Enterprise Dog Park Committee P.O. Box 310795 Enterprise, Al 36331 for $150 you can sponsor a section of fence, and a plaque in memory of or in honor of can be placed on the fence. Also needed at more picnic tables and benches. They have inscribed plaques for the message. I will have to get new quote information for those. Last year the bench was $750 I believe and the tables were $1500. We also could use general donations to put toward plans for other items such as shade structures and water features. Please feel free to message us for more details.

Going to be a BEAUTIFUL day so I expect the Bark Park to be busy. Filled the bag dispensers yesterday so nobody's got an excuse for not picking up after their dog! Also, the Piney Woods Arts and Crafts Festival this weekend is pet-friendly so bring Rover out when you visit. Annette and I saw tons of our Bark Park buddies there last year and the weather is better this year too!
