The Elyria City School District encompasses 13 school buildings -- seven elementaries, three middle schools (grades 6-8), one 1,800-student high school (grades 9-12), and one early childhood center at Elyria Early Childhood Village.

facebook.comTomorrow, Jan. 15, please join us at the Elyria High School Performing Arts Center to celebrate the 89th birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. You can see thousands of student-made birthday cards for Dr. King, and hear the inspiring words of Keynote speaker and EHS graduate, Rev. Dr. Mark Johnson. The program begins with a commemorative march from Ely Square to EHS at 10:30am, and the program in the PAC begins at 11am. Celebrate with us!

All Elyria Public Schools will be closed Friday, January 12, due to an ice storm that has been forecasted to hit our area tomorrow during the day. In such conditions, travel will be treacherous. In the best interest of safety, our schools will be closed. Monday, January 15, is a holiday, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and schools will be closed. We will resume Tuesday, January 16. Started the day today with a mini concert by the amazing, wonderful Elyria High School Madrigals. Thanks for the fun, Kaylee Bondzio and crew!
Here it is ... a one-of-a-kind performance by the Elyria High School band, orchestra and choirs. A first of its kind -- called a "prism concert" -- at the Elyria High School Performing Arts Center. One guest said, "This concert was absolutely phenomenal! This was the caliber of entertainment you would go to Cleveland to see at a tiny fraction of the cost, and in our own back yard. I really hope they do this format again!" You can watch it now on Pioneer TV Youtube.
