Your health and wellness shouldn't be broken into silos. At Recharge we focus on your health through physical therapy, HoCo CrossFit and mindfulness. All led by doctors of physical therapy. This is your health hub.  Why Did We Open Recharge?
We've been a practicing doctors of physical therapy for several years, in Howard County.

Over the years we started to realize health and more importantly well-being is not simply treating low back, neck or shoulder pain.

It became very clear that healthcare was designed on a reactive, instead of a proactive foundation.

Research of national numbers on obesity, opioids addiction, and depression certainly supported that theory.

There had to be a better way.

Our community deserves better.

That’s why Recharge was created.

We not only used our experience as clinicians, we also looked at emerging research and data.

We know that exercise has tremendous benefit both physically and mentally.

We know that physical therapy helps people move better and become pain free naturally and effectively.

Finally, we know mindfulness training is tremendous at reducing stress.

Yet, those three services are typically silo’d between different providers or companies. It’s hard enough to find time for one!

Recharge integrates fitness, physical therapy and mindfulness. All under one roof.

HoCo CrossFit classes are developed and led by doctors of physical therapy.


Physical therapy is one on one and always with a doctor of physical therapy so there are no wait times, no insurance limitations and no guessing who your clinician will be.

Mindfulness is integrated throughout all services as well as dedicated with unique mindfulness room for practice.

Eat More Plants. Getting more vegetables into one's diet, whether they are a member or a patient is paramount when addressing any health concern. Sometimes it's just hard to get vegetables... we get it. So we've teamed up with Lancaster Farm Fresh Cooperative to be a host site for the Dorsey Search Area! Don't have time to purchase vegetables? No more. They are delivered to where you are already headed... Recharge. Don't know what to do with the vegetables? No worries. Our team will be developing a weekly recipe to utilize the veggies you may have not seen before. You don't have a bad back. You have pain with certain movement in your back. This is more than semantics. This is reality. Quite possibly THE MOST COMMON issue we see AND HEAR about. LOW BACK PAIN. As with most things the reality does not match the perception. It's basic human instinct to avoid pain. We are very good at it. HOWEVER!!! To process what your body is going through your brain needs to not see the movement as a threat. IF you are terrified of moving in the direction of pain you WILL condition yourself to process that movement as dangerous. Still following? We know it's a complicated topic. SOOOOOOO If you want lower your back pain then you should gradually do motions that are painful. SLOW DOWN A SEC. WHOA WHOA WHOA No We are NOT saying you should cause yourself MORE pain. Nor should you push beyond what is safe. WHAT YOU SHOULD do is gently and gradually move in the direction that has been bothering you. If you have pain that progresses, OR spreads, OR prevents you from moving gently, OR causes numbness/tingling, OR was caused by trauma OR ok we are done typing if it doesn't get better just call us 443-583-7093.

In the spirit of the Winter Olympics we present the Recharge Movement Challenge Olympics ⛷🥇 Event 1: The Slider Ski Obstacle For time. 3 trials. Need either sliders or towel on slick surface. Use PVC pipes, Canes, or golf clubs (or whatever else you come up). Feet MUST maintain on sliders. No shuffling. Movement happens through arms. Finish course with a jump. Fastest time of 3 trails wins. If caught foot shuffling it's a 1 second penalty. If tied (as we had), do a ski-off. Straight for time. Shuffle equals DQ. Have fun. Challenge a friend. Tag us in your attempts. GO FOR GOLD!
