ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE!!! Beginning Wednesday, November 15, 2017, N. Elkhart Avenue between E. Jackson Blvd. and Johnson St. will be closed for approximately 6 weeks for emergency water main replacement. A detour along Jackson Blvd. and Johnson St. will be posted.
The City of Elkhart Redevelopment Commission is funding a project to renovate S Main St, from US Highway 20 to Indiana Ave. The goal of this project is to elevate the attractiveness of the S Main St streetscape, creating a more walkable environment and increasing adjacent property values. The City of Elkhart Engineering staff is seeking input from S Main St property owners, businesses, and residents on design of the street cross-section for the S Main St Streetscape project. Beginning Monday, October 30, 2017, the northbound road of SR 19 will be partially closed just south of CR 6 and the eastbound road of CR 6 will be partially closed just east of SR 19 for approximately 1 week.
Road Restriction: Elkhart Ave. between E. Jackson Blvd and Johnson St. is partially closed due to a water main break. Please avoid this area if possible.
