The "Explore Illinois" program takes place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by a presentation on the historical sites of Illinois. Finally, at 2 p.m., the movie "Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown" will be shown in the Youth Services Department. You won't want to miss this fun-filled day at the library - we hope to see you there! Preschoolers are invited to get creative with sidewalk chalk in the Reading Garden at this week's Fun Friday! Stop by the library at 11 a.m. on May 25 to participate!
The Big Rig Petting Zoo offered a fun and unique experience for all! The library would like to thank IDOT, the Illinois National Guard 182d Airlift Wing, the U.S. Coast Guard, the Fondulac Park District Police, the East Peoria Fire Department, Caterpillar, and everyone who stopped by to participate!
There is still time to sign up for the American Red Cross Babysitting class! Students ages 11 and up will learn to care for kids, prevent accidents, and handle emergencies. Registration and payment takes place at the library in the Youth Services Department. Preschoolers played the "Escape the Volcano Shape Game" at this morning's Fun Friday and received a free book for successfully completing the game!
Due to recent changes in the operating hours at Cheese Nuts Pizzeria, the Out of the Box Book Club will meet at Granite City at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16.
