EMcon East Meadow Public Library Anime Fest
Description
Anime Convention The EMcon is the East Meadow Public Library’s first Anime festival that celebrates one of Japanese MOST popular culture and art. It is mostly involved in anime and Japanese cultural activities, including events and workshops that will provide great entertainment for ALL ages around. We have programs like “Meet the Artists’” where patrons can meet artists that have published their very own comics and many others to network with at the Artist Alley venue. We also have Tai-chi Master, Jesse Two Owl Teasley and his students that will perform their martial art form and maneuvers. And give a workshop to show our patrons a few simple moves. Plus as an added bonus, Master Teasely will perform the “Drunken Sword Dance” that will have your heart pump faster to witness this extraordinary act. Besides that, there will be, Gaming Tournament, win a prize! Cosplay! Come as your favorite anime/comic book character! Anime screening room to watch anime feature films! There just too much to discuss!! And Then END it off with a BANG we have Alexandra Honigsberg for a live solo viola anime concert and chat enlivening clips from some of your favorite soundtracks and anime. The great thing about EMcon you can meet others with the same interests. Mingle, network, and participate in our Cosplay contests. Discuss things like the best anime pop culture, the latest anime, manga, Japanese cinema, music and games as well. Last year of June 2011 was a great success, so we’re going to do it again!!! Welcome to another year of EMCon's Animefest Annual Halloween COSplay Party!!! My Hero Academia theme! Friday, October 27 at 6 p.m. This is one of our most popular programs for everyone to enjoy! This years theme is My Hero Academia theme! SO BE SURE TO COME IN COSTUME AS YOUR FAVORITE SUPER HERO!!! My Hero Academia is a NEW ANIME EXPLOSIVE SENSATION! Anime summary: On an Earth-like world where people with superpowers known as "Quirks" (個性 Kosei) are the norm, Izuku Midoriya is a regular middle school student who has dreams of one day becoming a Hero (ヒーロー Hīrō) despite being bullied by his classmates for not having a Quirk. After being the only one to try and save his childhood bully Katsuki from a Villain (敵（ヴィラン） Viran), the world's greatest Hero All Might bestows upon him his own quirk "One For All". The story follows Izuku's entrance into U.A. High School (雄英高校 Yūei Kōkō), a school that cultivates the next generation of Super Heroes. Activites: Mini Artist Alley Raffles Zombie make up. Death Note Live Action Movie Director Deletes Social Media Account After Backlash! WOW! Who saw the Netflix 'Death Note?' I admit, I seen this movie, and was kind of disappointed but not enough to go bash the writers and actors over it. This is messed up to be honest. If you dislike the movie, best thing you can do is not support it by not watching or buying anything affiliated with it except the original source. Any thoughts?
