Now that we have had a chance to regroup and rejuvenate post-WEF, we'd like to take this opportunity to highlight a few things. For starters, we'd like to acknowledge a few exciting additions to the farm. Jane Barry came home from Wellington with two new lovely animals - Cadence 2, who we purchased from McLain Ward and For Eternity, who we purchased from Innisfree Farm and Martin Huugyens. We look forward to helping Jane in the Low AO division with both these talented horses. Other new partnerships we will look forward to developing include: Rachel Penner & Kevin Babington's speedy and competitive Salome II to compete in the Children's Jumpers. Campbell Hudkins and the lovely Show Me Love to show in the Medium Pony division. Kristan Lassiter is leasing Kyle Olson's Jazz for the Adult Jumper division. Emily Jurnovoy and Jordyn Freedman's Hands Up for the Children's pony division. Savannah Barry and First Verdi in the 6 Year Old Jumpers. In addition, we would like to welcome few new members to the staff - Chris Strucker, Avery Stewart, and Carly Sutherland have all joined us over the past few months. We are sure each of these energetic individuals will be excellent additions to the team. Last but not least, we would like to congratulate our qualifiers for Devon 2016: Jordyn Rose Freedman and Feeling in the Junior Jumpers, Ilyana in the Large Junior Hunters, and Campbell Hudkins and Our Song in the Small Ponies. We will also be sending Jordyn and McKayla for the equitation and Savannah Barry with her two 6 year olds: Flambeau and First Verdi. Next stop Saratoga and then on to Old Salem! Happy Spring Everyone!
Week 9 was one for the books for Kelianda! Not only did McKayla win the High Junior Classic aboard the Charlie Group's Charlie but she also won the Medium Junior Classic aboard Linda Langmeier's Durosa W. McKayla had her SSG gloves on so she also won the SSG rider bonus! Bridget Ennevor came home with a red ribbon in the very competitive Low AO speed with her amazing Brander. Over in equitation land, Jordyn Rose Freedman rocked the WIHS Jumper phase - scoring a 91!!! She won her section and she ended up 3rd overall after the hunter phase. Her win secured her spot in the George Morris Excellence in Equitation class. Over at pony island, Campbell Hudkins brought home a 3rd place ribbon in the USEF Pony Medal. Let's keep this momentum going these last few weeks!
