Meet Mickey Stritzki, he is one of many mentors of mine. This picture was taken June of last year. Ashley (wife), Elijah(son) and I sat down with Mickey to discuss financial and a business approach for Redlan's Gentlemen's Grooming. Little did I know Redlan's would be open for business six months later. Mickey always taught me," If you can develop a friendship with people first, the business will always come second nature." Why do you have clippers in a shadow box? I get asked this by just about every person that's new to coming to Redlan's G.G. Long story short, which means this will be a real long story. These were my Grandfathers's clippers, he purchased in the 1960's They have real no significant value to me because they don't work. I have them up on the wall as a reminder of what my grandfather once told me. Which is another long story of how my grandfather charge $35 a haircut in 1960's I asked him how, when the average haircut was under $10? He responded with the best response, "when you figure out that your not just cutting hair, but you are selling an experience and when you can make that experience different from what everyone else is doing. People will pay the price. So these are a reminder to me that anyone can cut hair but not anyone can win friends and influence people.
