DRBA Welcomes Our Newest Softball Instructor/Coach!!! MEGAN LOES BIO BLAST I was born and raised in Cascade, Iowa. If you have ever been to or heard of the small town, you would know the whole town lives through the Cascade Cougars. Whether it be basketball, baseball, softball, etc. the whole town supports the kids and their athletics. Being raised in this type of community allowed me to grow and develop my passion for softball. I played on the Cougar Varsity Softball Team for 5 years, primarily as a pitcher, but also as a utility infielder. Throughout my high school career, I earned conference honors such as honorable mention, and all-academic team awards. I also earned team honors throughout the years such as Most Valuable Player, Hustle Awards, Team Player, and I was also captain of the team for my last two years. After high school I went on to further my education and playing career at the University of Dubuque. I was able to play for the Spartans for 3 years as a relief and starting pitcher. My Junior year I earned second team all-conference honors and the Most Valuable Pitcher award. All three years I was at UD we made it to the IACC Tournament. I was recognized for playing in 4 games, taking 2 wins with a 1.85 ERA and 3 Earned Runs overall. I also took credit for the first win against Central College in the IACC Tournament in UD softball history. While at UD I was able to develop my skill set and knowledge of the game further than I ever believed I could, and my main goal now is to share that knowledge with others. After college I have continued to find ways to help others grow their love, passion, and skills for the game through volunteer work, and now as a pitching instructor and coach at DRBA. With this in mind, I would love for the chance to help your child develop their love and passion for the game.
