Many parents assume that a pediatrician will be on hand in the hospital to provide care immediately following the birth of their baby, but that's not always the case at some hospitals. Mercy is the only hospital in the region where board-certified pediatricians care for your baby during their entire stay. When choosing a birth center, make sure you choose the highest level of care for you and your baby. Only Mercy.

A new support group is available at Mercy for those expecting a baby or who recently gave birth. The time preceding and following childbirth can often include feelings of depression, anxiety, and even shame. The group meets this Saturday, and the first Saturday of each month, from 10:30 a.m.-noon at Mercy. Call 563-587-9406 for more information.
