FROM THE CHIEF: Search Warrant at 1006 W. Chase Street ------------- On June 20, 2017, DPD narcotics officers and officers from the department’s Special Operations Group ran a search warrant at 1006 W. Chase Street in Denison. Evidence was found and/or seized indicating the residence is allegedly used for criminal activity. The property owner of 1006 W. Chase Street has been served with a Nuisance Abatement warning letter that this residence is being used for criminal activity and is subject to provisions of the state Nuisance Abatement law. Now that criminal activity is confirmed and the owner notified of this activity, the police ask compliance from the owner to rid or prohibit from the location, any person(s) known to be or suspected to be involved in criminal activity. NOTE: This is the third search warrant executed at this address. If the owner does not comply, the abatement process will be fully initiated meaning the home could eventually be closed and/or forfeited (as a last resort). The police are only asking for compliance from the owner through this warning letter so if that occurs, no further action is anticipated. Chief Jay Burch Proud to serve at Denison PD June 21, 2017
