We hope that everyone had a great Mother's Day this past Sunday. Here is a summary of the Mother's Day Sunday Morning Service message from Unity FWB: "Why Mary?" Mary was the mother of Jesus Christ. God could have chosen anyone to be the mother of Jesus Christ but God chose Mary as the one. Why did God choose Mary? 3 reasons why God chose Mary to be the mother of Jesus Christ: 1. Discretion - When the shepherds saw the baby, Jesus Christ, laying in the manger, they glorified and praised God for all the things they had saw and seen. The word about the baby, Jesus Christ, had spread to all the people. However, Mary just treasured (enjoyed) all these things and pondered them in her heart. Mary was discrete. Instead of getting wrapped up in the excitement about the baby, Jesus Christ, she just took everything in and pondered everything in her heart. Luke 2:19 2. Dedicated - Mary was a dedicated mother. Jesus was falsely accused and tried. His punishment was crucifixion. Crucifixion was a punishment given to the worse of criminals. Mary knew that Jesus was innocent and was not ashamed of him even though he was found guilty and given the punishment that was reserved for the worse criminal acts. Mary stayed by His side while he was suffering for our sins up until the very end. What did it take to stand there at the cross and see your child suffer? Dedication. John 19:25 3. Devoted - Mary believed in unity and prayer. She was devoted to God. Acts1:14

Sunday Morning Message Today: Are you ready for your audit? (Heb 9:27; 2 Cor 5:10; 1 Cor 4:5; Matt 6:19-21) Once we die, we will have another appointment - judgment. We will stand before the Lord of Lord and King of Kings and we will be judged in three areas. Three areas of judgment: 1. Our Actions - He sees what we do and what we don't do. We will receive what is due to us for what we have done while in our body; good or bad. 2. Our Attitudes - God will bring everything hidden in darkness to light and will expose the purposes of our heart (attitude). 3. Our Ambitions - It is not wrong to have "stuff" (treasures). As long as the "stuff" doesn't have you. Don't let the "stuff" be your main goal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Having wrong treasures leads our hearts being in the wrong place. Are you ready for your time before God? Are you ready for your judgment? If you do not know the answer to these questions, we at Unity FWB Church invite you to come and visit us. Our hope is that when you visit you will leave by answering these questions with one simple word.....Yes!
