Libraries change lives for the better." -Sidney Sheldon The purpose of the Decatur Public Library is to provide to all those who live, work, own a business, or go to school in Morgan County, Alabama access to resources to fullfill their informational, educational, cultural, and recreational needs and interests, and to support and encourage, where possible, such library services throughout the state.

Our 2018 Adult Reading Challenge will be announced tomorrow! Drop by DPL’s Community Room between 11am and 4pm to find out this year’s challenge and sign up if you are so inclined. Join us this afternoon for a Make & Take Activity! School-aged children are invited to learn how to make your own snow! This program will take place at 4pm in our Youth Services department and is free. No registration required.
