Several members of our team are currently attending the HITS Horse Shows at the HITS Thermal Desert Horse Park. They are recruiting for an exciting research project focused on assessing the clinical implications of cervical (neck) arthritis in sport horses. The goal of the study is to determine the frequency and degree of cervical arthritis that is present in performing sport horses. Pictured (l to r) are: DVM student Eleanor Anderson, equine specialist Dr. Pablo Espinosa, and radiologist Dr. Katie Phillips. Also attending but not pictured are DVM student Morgan Geller and equine surgery intern Dr. Karen Shaw. Thanks to research sponsors East-West Equine Sports Medicine, Equi-Sport Consulting, IJump Sports, Pomponio Ranch Stallions #teampomponio, Sport Horse Research Foundation Inc., Sound #SoundVet, and UC Davis Center for Equine Health.
