Medical City Dallas recently had the opportunity to help patients overseas by hosting Dr. Jean Louis, a resident from Haiti. As part of a non-profit fellowship training program, Dr. Jean Louis shadowed and observed plastic surgeon, Dr. Fred Duffy, performing micro surgery, following patients in the clinic and training in the lab. With this experience and training, Dr. Jean Louis will soon be the first reconstructive plastic surgeon in Haiti!

The infections were linked to Mexican-style soft cheese (obtained in Mexico) and beef (obtained in the U.S.).
