Plans are underway to completely renovate Garrison Park. Included in the preliminary plan is renovation of the existing basketball court, installation of a splash pad and playground, restrooms, family picnic areas, a multi-purpose field sized for football and lots of green play space. Attention please all youth league coaches and parents: Please be reminded that park rules, as listed below, need to be adhered to. Most notably, pets, other than service animals are not permitted and bicycles, ripstiks, skateboards, scooters and other rolling play toys are also not permitted. Both have become an issue as of late so we will be monitoring for violations. These rules are in place to protect or patrons. Just this week we had a dog fight in a crowded area and have had several people that have been knocked into by board/bike riders and even a grandmother knocked down. Luckily she was not hurt. We very much appreciate everyones cooperation.
