Representatives from Naval Base Coronado(NBC) Career Counseling Office have partnered with Navy Voluntary Education Office to host an Education Fair located outside of NASNI Galley on August 24 from 1100-1300. This event, open to all military personnel and their families, will focus on raising awareness of the Navy’s education programs. Twenty five colleges, Veterans Affairs members and NBC School Liaison Officer Amiee Gillig have been invited to this event. Representatives are available to answer questions concerning various topics regarding education opportunities the Navy or colleges provide. Let this be a new door opening into your future!

The Navy is conducting training exercises on July 12-13 from 0800-1200 each day aboard NASNI. There will be blank fire and security vehicles within the exercise area. The Navy recognizes the importance of being good neighbors with the local communities and makes every effort to abate noise when possible. Are you a Navy Contractor who uses NCACS? Current NCACS cardholders will have until July 15 to obtain a DBIDS credential at the local base Visitor Control Center. NCACS cards will no longer be accepted after July 15. Contractors, sub-contractors, vendors and suppliers who do not have an NCACS card will have up to 180 days to obtain their DBIDS credential. DBIDS increases installation security and communications by receiving frequent database updates on changes to personnel/credential status, law enforcement warrants, lost/stolen cards, and force protection conditions.
