Thank you to everyone who donated during our fundraising effort for the Black Lives Matter movement. With your help, we raised over five and a half thousand dollars. It's clear to us this issue won't go away on its own; however, we don't want to just throw money at the situation. It's unacceptable that it's happening and it's unacceptable for us to stay silent about it.⁣ ⁣ Black Lives Matter. Business Builders is going to be more mindful going forward to support actions that ensure everyone feels equal in our club, on campus, and in the surrounding Columbus community. When we set off on our San Francisco Startup Tour last week, we had no idea what to expect. At 3am and amidst growing concerns of COVID-19, the team huddled in the airport and made the call to move forward with the trip. While over the Rocky Mountains, we learned that several site visits, tours, and special engagements were cancelled. The incredible trip that we had planned seemed to be in shambles. Undeterred, the team jumped into our van, settled into our Air BnB, and took on SF. We ate more tacos than we thought possible, went through a dozen bottles of hand sanitizer, and made friendships to last a lifetime. Although we did not experience the trip that we had planned, we made the most of every second. We met with engineers at Zippin, sat in on a PR session with Fast, visited Google and Apple, and heard from the Former CEO of Intuit... we did plenty of site seeing too. This trip would not have been possible without the support of our alumni, the BBC Mafia. Thank you to those who donated, offered connections, and supported us during our travels. We are all extremely grateful. After flight cancellations and a long trip home, we are back safe and sound! Looking forward to future Startup Tours. -Jack @ San Francisco, California
