We are looking for alumnae ushers for Commencement on Thursday, June 8, 2017, beginning at 1 pm. We will provide all of the tools you will need to help the families of seniors find their seat under the big white tent. Once you're finished helping guests to their seats, we welcome you to stay for the Commencement ceremony. If you are interested in volunteering at Commencement, please contact the Development Office at vhilbrands@columbusschoolforgirls.org.

Columbus School for Girls

We wanted to give our community time to process before making a public post, but the past few days have been difficult at CSG. Our condolences go out the family of CSG senior Karrington Hanks who passed away unexpectedly Saturday. Karrington came to CSG in Form V. She was a member of the varsity golf team and Upper School choir, but more than anything, she was a part of us. Karrington was a genuine young lady who had a special ability to connect with others. She loved shoes, music, and her friends. Karrington had plans to study education at Ohio Dominican University in the fall. Our hearts, concern and sympathy go out to the Hanks family.

Columbus School for Girls

Columbus School for Girls is proud to announce that Judy Roth Garel '51 has been selected as the 2017 Alumna of the Year. Garel, a Bexley resident, is a co-founder of the Women's Fund of Central Ohio, a 2001 recipient of the YWCA Women of Achievement Award, and a 2012 United Way of Central Ohio Capital Women of Distinction Honoree. Alumnae Family Gym & Swim!

This Sunday, we are opening up the Crane Gym and new Aquatics Center for Alumnae and their families! 10-11am is open play in the gym 11am-12pm is free swim in the pool There will be lifeguards on duty and locker rooms available. Children must be accompanied by parents/guardians. Please bring your own towels. $20 per family We hope to see you on Sunday!

Vineyard Vines Shopping Event

Bring your family and friends to the new Vineyard Vines store at Easton Town Center to help the CSG Alumnae Board raise funds for scholarships. Just in time for Spring Break, you can enjoy 10% off your purchase and another 10% will be donated back to CSG. We will have plenty of food, drink, and a special appearance by the big pink whale! If you can't make it, don't worry you can still support CSG by completing an order form and submitting it to andrewh@vineyardvines.com before 5PM on Mar. 8th. Email csgscholarshop@gmail.com for a form.

Alumnae Family Gym & Swim!

The gym will be open with games and balls from 10-11 am The pool will be open for free swim from 11-noon The cost for this event is $20 per family, with proceeds going towards CSG's Scholars Fund. Please bring cash, check, or credit card with you on March 5th. Lifeguards will be on duty and the locker rooms will be open, so please bring your own towels! All ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by their parents or guardian. We'll have organized games for those who want to join, as well as free play and open swim! Parking will be available in the Drexel Avenue parking lot. The Main Entrance/Athletics Entrance doors will be unlocked and a CSG staff member will greet you there.
