Experience the best indoor rock climbing in the Philadelphia area. Founded in 1994, the first Philadelphia Rock Gym was built by two college friends (Matt & Greg) who had a vision--to bring their passion and enthusiasm for climbing back to their hometown and to make a living doing what they loved. By taking the novel step of bringing climbing inside, they became one of the first indoor climbing centers in the US. Soon, they were one of the best.
Since then, the PRG has introduced more than 40,000 of your friends and neighbors to the amazing sport of rock climbing. And In all that time our passion and enthusiasm for this sport has continued to grow. And, as our passion has grown, so has our dedication to excellence, to safety, and, most of all, to our customers. The PRG has grown, too: we have added a second gym, we offer outdoor training and expeditions all over the US, and we use the philosophy of climbing to promote team development and leadership skills through ground based initiatives and seminars in our Teambuilding program.
It is our vision to continue what Matt & Greg started. To share our passion with you, your friends and your family. To help our customers discover, not just the joy of climbing, but also what its spirit has to offer--confidence, camaraderie, teamwork and balance. Not sure? Philadelphia Rock Gym is a proud sponsor of the Temple University Climbing Club as they head to San Diego to compete in Collegiate Nationals at the end of April. Please consider donating to help! (Visit our Facebook page to find link) or copy and paste below: https://www.youcaring.com/templeclimbingclub-771734 From the students: For the first time in its history, the Temple University Climbing Club has the amazing opportunity to send some of its members to compete against some of the best collegiate climbers in the United States at the USA Climbing 2017 Collegiate National Championships. This event will take place on April 28-29 in San Diego, and 8 Temple students will be attending. We have been lucky enough to receive the support of the university, but we still need help to make this unbelievable opportunity a reality. While we currently have enough money to pay for airfare and a rental car, we also have to cover costs for 3 nights in a hotel, gas, registration and membership fees for 8 people, jerseys, and transportation to/from the Philadelphia airport. We are looking for any kind of support, no matter how large or how small, as every little bit counts. We would be immensely grateful for any contribution possible that would help our members take advantage of this amazing opportunity. Thank you so much in advance for any help you may be able to offer!
