Clarksville Cove features three splash pads for varying age groups, a lap pool, tube & body slides, concession stand, and a special birthday party area. When the Clarksville Family Aquatic Center opened for the first time in 1995, it was the only facility of its kind in Southern Indiana. After serving our community for more than 20 years, the facility was in need of some major repairs and renovations. The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department decided to close the pool in 2016, so that construction crews could begin a complete redevelopment of the facility.  When it re-opens in the summer of 2017, it will have a new look and a new name.  Clarksville Cove Family Aquatic Center.

Visitors will notice some big changes when the Clarksville Cove opens for the first time. Most notably will be the new splash pad areas which will take the place of the zero depth entry pool. There will be three different spaces for varying age groups, including a large water play structure with new slides. Our main pool will be revitalized with new surface areas and a new set of stairs. Visitors will also notice a brand new covered slide tower, two new slides, new shade umbrellas, and new deck areas for taking in some summer sun. We are also making changes inside the admissions and restroom areas to make visiting the Clarksville Family Aquatic Center a more enjoyable experience. Some of the changes will also allow us to open sooner in the season, and stay open later in the year.  One of our favorite changes will be the addition of a brand new birthday party area, which we feel will be very popular with local families.

What visitors will not see is the new state-of-the-art pumps and filtration systems located inside our pump room. The new equipment will replace the outdated equipment used in previous years of operation. Not only will the new pumps and filtration systems save thousands of dollars in energy costs, but they will also provide even clearer water for our visitors.
