facebook.comIMPORTANT INFORMATION: Over the past few weeks, we have heard several reports of Door-to-Door Solicitors. Please be aware that NO ONE has been approved to solicit in our Village at this time. In order to apply to be a solicitor, the applicant must pay $150 per person, pass a background check, be approved by the Board of Trustees, and have a badge that they must have visible or be able to produce upon request. If you should have a solicitor at your door and they can’t produce a badge, please call 911 and let the Police Department handle the situation. Please share this with your friends and neighbors, so they can be vigilant and informed.

Recently, The Village of Chicago Ridge and the Chicago Ridge Fire Department have received messages and notifications concerning a person claiming to be employed by our Department. The person claiming to be employed is Jenny Hunter. We can assure you that we do NOT have an employee by that name and would never employ such a person. Unfortunately, anyone can claim that they work somewhere and because of that we have contacted Facebook and they are looking into this false claim of employment. Thank you.
