Description
We are a 10 acre boarding facility located 8 minutes from downtown Charlotte, NC. We board dogs pulled from high kill animal controls in NC, SC and GA. Double N Kennels has been boarding shelter dogs for 4 years. We are a full service facility offering pick up from shelter, vetting, boarding, photos taken of dogs, temperament assessment and we work in conjunction with several transport companies to get the dogs delivered across the United States.
Dogs are housed in a few different situations, We have indoor and outdoor boarding depending on the dog and its needs. We have quarantine area for fresh dogs just out of the shelter. We also have separate areas for boarding litters of puppies. We can also house dogs longterm who are undergoing heartworm treatment.
We have a vet on standby who visits our facility at least once a week to help with any vetting cases. All dogs are taken to the Charlotte Spay/Neuter clinic for their regular vetting needs (ie. spay, neuter, rabies, hw test, microchip, health certificates, etc)
We take pictures of all our residents and forward to their rescues so hopefully making it easier for the rescues to get them listed on Petfinder, etc and get them adopted out quicker.
Owners live onsite and manage the property 24/7.
Late night transport pick ups are ok and at no extra cost.
Boarding rates are $8.00 per day per dog for small to medium size dogs and $10.00 per day per dog for large to XL dogs. We are able to vaccinate your dogs for DHPP and Bordatella for $8.00 per vaccine. Vaccinations will come with info. posted on vaccine records. We also offer Drontal dewormer for $5.00 per 22 pounds. This is 1/3 of the cost that vet clinics charge. Local transport is available to shelters, vets, etc for minimal fee depending on distance.

Patsy had a blast on her all day outing today! She is a shy girl at first but once she feels safe, her playful and fun personality comes shining though! She clearly loved playing with dogs of all shapes and sizes. Patsy has been patiently waiting in boarding and would love a forever home with other doggie playmates!
DORIS DAY *Available for Adoption*
Doris Day is an awesome, American bulldog mix who is looking for a forever home! She currently lives in boarding but hopes to have a family soon! She likes to go for walks and explore the trails at the whitewater center with volunteers that take her out. Doris also loves to splash around in the water and dunk her head! She rides nicely in the car and is eager to greet everyone and everything that comes by! Doris Day did great walking and hanging with other boarding buddy dogs while on outings too. She will sit calmly by your side while you hang out and you can tell she would quickly become someone's faithful, loyal companion. Let us know if you would like to learn more about meeting her! OLIVIA
Olivia is an absolute dream! She is a solid girl but very gentle, doesn't jump, walks great on a leash, and has a low-medium energy level. Olivia is 2 years old and about 60 pounds. She loves to play with toys, does well with children of all ages, and gets along very well with the other dogs at adoption events! Olivia is fully vetted and looking for a foster or forever home so please contact us ASAP if you want to learn more or meet her. She deserves a home as amazing as she is!
