With STAAR testing next week for 7th and 8th graders, we wanted to get these reminders out now: 1. No cell phones are allowed in testing rooms, they are to be either left at home or off and in the locker. 2. Students need a book (not a magzine) to read when they finish. 3. Please do not schedule any appointments on STAAR days. 4. Lunches may be at different times. Keep this in mind if you are delivering food. 5. Make sure your child(ren) get a good nights sleep and a good breakfast! We are POSITIVE they will give it their all and rock the STAAR!
Dear CPMS Parents & Guardians: In our continued effort to ensure all families have a voice in our mission to inspire and equip all students to succeed, we would like to hear more from you about your student’s experience using technology to enhance learning. This survey is specifically designed to help us determine the impact of technology in Leander ISD. Your involvement will help us to improve learning outcomes and focus on providing meaningful experiences that drive student achievement. This survey should only take five minutes to complete. All responses are strictly confidential. No one at Leander ISD will know if you participate or be able to connect you to your answers. https://questionnaire.bbyt.es/campaigns/5858910d8967ab0e008bbcfa If you have multiple students in the district at different campuses, you may either take the survey once for your oldest student’s campus, or you may submit a separate survey for each of your student’s campuses. Each survey is campus specific. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact wendy.jones@leanderisd.org . Once the survey closes, each campus will receive reports including specific feedback from parents, teachers and students to aid in evaluating current initiatives and planning for the future. Thank you in advance for your participation and support.

CPMS PARENTS – MLISD 2018/2019 INFO PARENTS MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR APRIL 1ST All CPMS students (and incoming 5th graders) are able to pay their $70 yearly mLISD laptop fee BEGINNING ON April 1st. PLEASE DO NOT PAY PRIOR TO APRIL 1ST AS IT WILL HAVE TO BE REFUNDED. WE ROLL THE PORTAL TO NEXT YEAR’S DATES ON APRIL 1ST. QUESTION: Why do I want to pay on April 1st for next year? ANSWER: Your child will simply have their laptop renewed to them. They will keep the laptop/charger/sleeve for the rest of this school year and over the summer. They will begin school with the laptop. They will not need to wait for deployment/rollout a few weeks after school begins. We will pick up laptops for those who haven’t paid for 2018/2019 on the following dates: 6th Grade laptop pick up date: May 31st 7th Grade laptop pick up date: May 30th 8th Grade laptop pick up date: May 29th** Students who have NOT paid by the pickup date will have their computers taken up and stored for the summer by CPMS Tech. Students will receive the same device back once school starts for the following year and deployment is scheduled. Students will be required to turn in what was issued to them: the computer, charger and sleeve. The computer should be free of any stickers and vinyl’s and should only have the student name label and barcode on the lid. Should the student not turn in the charger, they will be assessed a $40.00 fine until the charger is turned in. Students are required to turn in the same Lenovo charger that was issued to them in terms of type/brand. Some chargers get lost or are damaged and replacements will be accepted as long as they are Lenovo brand chargers with the same specs as was issued to the student. To purchase a new charger please see information here: PURCHASING A NEW CHARGER **FYI – 8th grade students with a charger fine, or who have missing items, will be held back from the 8th grade picnic until all issues are resolved.**
Just a reminder we are off next Friday, March 30th, in observance of Good Friday. Enjoy the three day weekend.
Happy Spring Break everyone! The CPMS faculty and staff want everyone to have a wonderful and restful break. We'll be back ready to teach our amazing kids on Monday, March 19th.
