Why all the buzz about Carnegie? Only 5 miles from downtown PGH, Carnegie is a charming, walkable town & a great place to live, shop,  work & play. SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Coming Soon! Get ready to Follow the Plaid!!  Great new signage for downtown Carnegie. With the Penn Dot Construction project on 376, the Carnegie Exit is closed.  So how do you get to Carnegie?  Simple!  With the Ramps closed here are two good options to get here:

1. Continue past Carnegie on 376 towards 79s (you will pass the Rosslyn Farms exit). Take the Carnegie exit from 79S. Make a left onto Mansfield Avenue, which becomes West Main St. Follow the sign for the business district at the third light. You will pass Off The Wall Theater on your right. Once you cross Chartiers Creek you are now on East Main St.

2. Take the Rosslyn Farms exit from 376, make a left and cross over 376 to get on the on ramp towards Pittsburgh, make a right before you reach the bottom of the hill. At the intersection, make a left, that puts you on Bell Ave. At the bottom of the hill make a right; continue on Bell Ave at the next light you will be on Mansfield Ave.  Keep straight at the next light make a right and you will be on East Main St.

Named after Andrew Carnegie, Carnegie has always been a special town.  Being a historic neighborhood, there is some amazing architecture to behold.  Charming in its own right, be sure to visit and enjoy all that our walkable town has to offer.

Main Street:
Our Main Street offers full entertainment:  shopping, boutiques, classy restaurants, jewelry, fine paper, eateries, upscale furniture resale, a flower shop, coffee shop, theater, a museum and pubs.  Stay tuned, as several businesses are in process of joining our community, including an organic ice cream shop. But that’s not all, our historic library overlooks Main Street.  Don’t miss out on this gem!

One Road Parallel:
Traverse to Mansfield Avenue, which parallels Main Street, and you will find antique shops, ceramic manufacturers, and several other businesses to explore.

Restaurant options:
We have plenty! Italian, Irish, Indian, Japanese, World Fusion, Classic Diner, East Mediterranean, pizza and more.

Just for Fun:
Visit our Coffee Shop, or in the near future, our ice cream shop to satisfy your sweet tooth.  Prefer a libation, then visit one of our pubs or our meadery. A few even have outdoor patio areas.

Carnegie boasts various boutiques ranging from home accessories and pet products to gifts and jewelry to the more eccentric designs and fashions.  We also have craft designs, art, locally made products, designer products and high-end consignment shops.

Museums & Theaters:
Our historical library houses a local dance and theater company. We also have a historical museum focused on the town of Carnegie.  Our theater on Main Street is a professional theater that is part of a performing arts center.
