Join the Moose Scavenger Hunt fun and you could win a $300 L.L. Bean gift card! Pick up your official game card at all participating moose sponsors, City Hall, the Caribou Public Library & the Caribou Wellness & Recreation Center! Receive all 10 stamps/signatures and return your completed game card to the City of Caribou Booth at the Maine Moose Hunt Lottery on Saturday, June 17 at the Caribou Wellness & Recreation Center. A winner will be announced after the lottery drawing. Maine Moose Hunt Lottery 2017 Scavenger Hunt Rules 1. Pick up your official game card at all participating moose sponsors, City Hall, the Caribou Public Library & the Caribou Wellness & Recreation Center! 2. Follow the first clue (see below) to Moose #1. Once at the location, a clue to the next moose can be found on or near the moose. 3. Before Following the clue to the next moose, be sure to get a signature, sticker or stamp from the moose sponsor business. 4. Receive all 10 stamps/signatures and return your completed game card to the City of Caribou Booth at the Maine Moose Hunt Lottery on Saturday, June 17 at the Caribou Wellness & Recreation Center. A winner will be announced after the lottery drawing. Clue #1 - Find Your First Moose: Let the record show that the first Caribou moose is looking very professional in his suit & tie. Expert witnesses will testify that he is regularly spotted in his Sweden Street habitiat. We can state, beyond any reasonable doubt, that he resides near Caribou High School. If you need legal advice, give this moose sponsor’s office a call. We rest our case!

The Town voted at the March 1967 town meeting to accept the City Council-Manager Charter, officially making Caribou a City. So, we are having a birthday bash! Friday, August 4th 10-2pm- Tie Dye and hot dog cookout at the Rec Center! 6-7pm- Caribou Cares About Kids Parade (floats line up at 5pm) Click here to participate in the parade! 7:15-8pm- Music, games, food & fun in the park (Teague Park) 8:15pm- Movie in the park! Food Vendor Information Session

The City has been asked to remind event participants who sell food about the importance of being compliant with the State of Maine Health Inspection program. In order to better prepare you and your organizations, the Public Health Inspector will present a workshop on May 23, 2017 at 6:00pm in the Multipurpose Rooms at the Caribou Recreation Center. Annual Memorial Day Parade

Annual Memorial Day Parade May 29, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm Organized by the American Legion, VFW and the City of Caribou, the annual Memorial Day Parade in Caribou will be a memorable event for all! The parade will begin at the Caribou Courthouse and go along Sweden Street and up South Main, ending at the Veterans’ Memorial Park. All groups are welcome to join the parade. Line up will be at 9:30am at the Caribou Courthouse. We hope to see you there!
