Nell Britton is a pianist and piano teacher based in the Cape Elizabeth, ME area. Nell Britton is a pianist and teacher based in the Cape Elizabeth, ME area. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in piano performance from USM in 2015 after transferring from Ithaca College in New York in 2013. She is now pursuing master's degree at USM in piano performance and choral conducting. She holds a graduate assistantship in accompanying and plays for the University Chorale and Chamber Singers. Nell was named a winner in USM's 2015 Honor's Recital Auditions, the university's highest academic distinction. She has received three Kotzschmar Memorial Trust Scholarships (2008, 2009, 2010) and the Rossini Club’s Gould Award. In 2009 and 2010 she won two of the Bay Chamber Concerts “Young Stars of Maine” competitions and was a finalist in the Bangor Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition. She has been a private piano teacher for 8 years.
