Campbellsville Christian Church
Description
"rooted in God's love"
"Rooted In God's Love" is more than a slogan, more than a motto. It's who and what we desire to become. We know that God's story in us as a congregation and as individuals is not yet fully written. As Jesus said, when asked what is the greatest commandment: "The greatest commandment: 'Love the Lord your God.' The second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself."(Matthew 22:36-40) We desire to become rooted in God's love; loving God and loving others.

From time to time, we ask our church leadership, "What are some wins we've experienced recently?" When I ask that question it is in regards to someone/a group of someones displaying aspects of being rooted in God's love in Study, Prayer, Stewardship, Discipleship, Community, or Service. While we did not have services at the church building this morning, a group of folks displayed Community, Stewardship (using their gifts/talents), and Service today as they cleared the way for a family in the church who was trapped by a downed tree! That, my friends, is a win worth celebrating! Way to go guys!
John 15:13; Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
Though we are not having services at the church building this morning, remember there are a number of great options online, on television, or gather your family together and open up the Bible and remember Jesus Christ's sacrifice for us. “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:13 NIV http://bible.com/111/jhn.15.13.niv

Proud of Campbellsville's very own Billy Gregory who was recently honored to sing at the National Top Cops Awards ceremony in Washington DC! We're proud of the way Billy represents Kentucky, the State Police, but most of all in the way he represents Jesus Christ in all he does. Thankful to have him as part of the Campbellsville Christian Church family.

Our Mess...His Message: Chuck Hatfield
Last Sunday, as Joel was preaching through the story of Rahab and how God used her story to bring about the promised Messiah, we showed a video from one of our church members, Chuck Hatfield. We had an outside organization film the video and there were obviously some technical issues with it. This week we reshot the video in house and want to share it with you so that you can hear his powerful story and share it with anyone else you’d like. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CLFrY8INLM
