Welcome to the City of Caldwell, “The Treasure of the Valley.” The community is full of friendly and engaged people. Caldwell is the rising star in Idaho. The purpose of the City’s social media sites is to present matters of public interest concerning the City’s programs, activities, news stories, and photos. The City welcomes public input on these matters; however, City social media pages are moderated online discussion sites and not open public forums. It is the express intent of the City to create a limited public forum devoted exclusively to its own postings and comments from members of the public only if relevant to the subject matter of the post they are responding to. If a visitor would like to share input, they should visit the City website and contact a City official or employee.

A huge WELCOME and CONGRATULATIONS to the second Dutch Bros coffee shop that opened in Caldwell yesterday! They are located at 807 Specht Avenue in Caldwell -- just off the freeway at exit 29 and are the happening place to be this weekend. A couple of cool facts about this newest addition: NUMBER ONE, the new look is BRAND NEW and Caldwell was chosen to be the first to host this design. NUMBER TWO, the designer is Adam Garcia of HB Architecture in the Treasure Valley. NUMBER THREE, Andrew and Shayna Randell, owners of the Canyon County Dutch Bros (DB2C), believe in our city and were instrumental in persuading HQ to build the first one here. NUMBER FOUR, Dutch Bros Headquarters has commissioned Adam to design all their future stands from here on out. Future stands will be smaller than this one, but will look very similar. Great job all! Check out the Dutch Bros of Canyon County facebook page to keep up on all the happenings at the local Dutch Bros coffee shops: https://www.facebook.com/DutchBros2C

A HUGE THANKS to all our Community Partners who are helping to sponsor this year's Caldwell Youth Forum (see attached flyer for details). You are appreciated! While the financing is now taken care of, we still need help from our Caldwell community in providing 'freebies' for the registration bags that students receive when they attend. If your business or organization would like to help please contact Angie Point at 208-455-4773 or email apoint@cityofcaldwell.org. Examples of items that have been donated in the past are on the flyer. As always, feel free to share this with anyone you think might want to help, and thanks for any help you can provide!
