It's 2017 here we are, in this selfie-centered world, taking pictures of ourselves, putting filters on. The heart behind today's message, if you think about it, is this: The more filtered our lives become, the more we show others the “me” we want them to see, the more difficult it is to be authentic. Culturally, we’re becoming so trained to filter in the picture of our lives, and then edit, perfectly, the caption – because the caption matters. You’ve got to have the right hashtag, and it’s got to be clever, but not too clever, and it’s got to be right, but not looking like you’re trying too hard. And we edit that perfectly, we filter it, and we send it out there so the rest of the world can affirm us, and like who we are showing them that we are. Being Authentic, Who you are when no one is watching, the Real you, broken, hurting, a Hot Mess, who wants to see that? Reality Check!!!! You will never have real relationships, that are deep and meaningful as long as you are filtering Who you really are!!!! BE AUTHENTIC!!! Come and Worship with us at 11am.... Come as You are!!! We Do!!!
