Description
For-Mar is 383 acres, with 7 miles of hiking trails. Jogging and biking are permitted on the gravel service drive only. Pets are not allowed. The Visitor’s Center is open Wed.-Sun., 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The grounds are open 8 a.m. to sunset Wed.-Sun.

Foraging in the Forest August 31st NOW taking place from 2pm to 4pm. Join a state-certified mushroom identification expert Andrew Fleszar of Michigan Mushroom on a hike through the Michigan woods. You'll learn about all about fungi and their relationship to the environment around them. Cooking demonstration with wild mushroom tasting and basic cultivation will also be included in this class. There is still time to sign up and join us for tomorrow's Grandparents Day: Become a Bird Watcher at For-Mar! Saturday, August 24 Grab your favorite grandma and grandpa and join the For-Mar Bird Nerds as we learn to identify birds by sight and sound. Then work together to build your own bird feed so you can bring the birds to your backyard too! For all ages, all abilities. Cost: $8 per pair, $4 per additional grandparent or grandchild. This program is being held at For-Mar Nature Preserve and Walk-in's welcome
