Western Arizona Regional Medical Center is your community healthcare provider; a 139-bed acute care facility offering the residents of the greater Bullhead City community inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic imaging, medical, surgical and emergency services. We believe in the power of people to create great care. We're 110 healthcare professionals strong. We are home to the area's largest Intensive Care Unit as well as a Surgery Center and Wound Care Clinic. And we work hard every day to be a place of healing, caring and connection for patients and families in the community we call home.

CONNECTNG MEDICAL COMMUNITIES: Nevada State Senator Joe Hardy, M.D. (center) pays a visit to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center August 23. Hardy met with WARMC CEO Mike Stenger (left) and Chief of Staff Waheed Zehri M.D. to explore the possibility of a clinical affiliation between WARMC and Touro University, a Henderson, Nev. medical school. Hardy, who represents the Laughlin area in the senate, also serves as Associate Dean of Clinical Education at Touro University.

WARMC Senior Circle member Alan Lederer had an idea. He wanted to bake cookies we could share with our nurses. Alan baked enough cookies for almost every hospital department to enjoy a dozen on Friday afternoon. SC members helped decorate the southwest-themed cookies.

SUPPORT FOR OUR PULMONARY PATIENTS: Thank you to WARMC’s respiratory therapist Rachael Lee, RRT who provided great information to our August Pulmonary Support meeting. WARMC’s Senior Circle hosts this group for those who use oxygen or have chronic breathing difficulties. Meetings are held at 11 a.m., the first Wednesday of each month at 2728 Silver Creek Rd. Lunch is provided by Compassus Hospice.
Cardiologist Dr. Malik Rahim is presented the Physician of the Quarter award by WARMC Chief of Staff Dr. Waheed Zehri. Dr. Rahim was also recently voted Best Cardiologist in the area by Mohave Daily News readers. CONGRATULATIONS Dr Rahim!
