So my basketball goal my dad installed about 8 years ago rusted out. It turns out he filled the first three feet with concrete. No wonder it rusted out.

I had no idea how popular this would be when I sat at my desk for hours trying to come up with the best design for a Paper Tray. Yet another order I had to ship out today. So excited to see this great product do so well. It's really great to see people appreciate Woodoworking and small business so much.

The best way to make anything new is by recycling something old. Appliances, electronics, furniture, there's a way YOU can recycle it. Lee also talks about the growth of robotics in school and shop organization. On Itunes, Soundcloud, and Youtube. Link in description!

I'm not scrapping these. I'm recycling them myself, and trying not to do anything illegal. Let's see what we find. Furnace blower to left. Fridge on the right. Let the demo begin.

Decided to recycle electronics myself. Saving the motors, shafting, and other parts to hopefully make a drone. Lots of good stuff you can use in modern electronics. Ever scrapped parts yourself? What was your experience?

Current bandsaw motor, meet your replacement. I'll take whatever step up I can find. I'm going from a 1/3 hp with a 2.5" pulley to a 1/2" hp with a 4" pulley. Don't underestimate the improvement increasing the speed can make. What has been your experience stepping up motors?

I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS WORKED. Always have been sick of trying to get underneath the mower to change blades and clean the deck. Finally able to do it more comfortably. I notice now that the deck is rusting. Any ideas on what to do about that? It's nice sometimss to 'build' something instead of doing woodworking. Good contrast and mental workout for a change.

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. I don't why society is governed by these words when having a wedding, but I always thought they described a workshop. This is my grandad's workshop. He was a maker before the maker movement began. The man was a true definition of being able to solve his own problems and think of a creative solution. Through his mind and his hands, he was able to show the world how to think critically, and make creatively. Thank you for living grandpa, thank you for making grandpa.
