Students from the Maimonides Early Childhood Center three-year old class are studying how mail gets delivered. They visited our Saval campus to see how the postage meter worked. They also said hi to the 9th grade class fish (M-fish) and sat on the big, comfy couch in the Office of Institutional Advancement.

Today we're pleased to launch #alumninewsday! Each Tuesday we'll be highlighting a Maimo graduate. Today meet Avi Gopin ’77, a licensed counselor who has been practicing in New Jersey since 1989 and is part of a team of professionals in a neuropsychology practice. He self-published a guidebook for navigating the trauma that can follow an auto accident. He's also a Sparklifter....read more to learn what that is all about.
Breaking news -- the Mock Trial team returned victorious again from the Superior Courthouse in Boston after facing off with Cathedral High School. This week it was the plaintiff team's turn to shine. The regular season concludes next Tuesday vs. Belmont.

Which types of food and paint will stain cotton fabric? Our kindergarten students set out to test this in their science session, and then see if soap and water (and a little elbow grease) would remove the stains.

We kicked off Jewish Disability Awareness and Inclusion month here with two Understanding our Differences programs, thanks to Gateways: Access to Jewish Education and The Ruderman Family Foundation. Our 3rd graders learned about vision loss and impairment from featured speaker Shoshana while our Middle School students heard from visitors Matan, Tova, Marie and Gary, who participated in a panel on disabilities and bullying.

What a great weekend everyone had at the Maimonides Invitational Basketball Tournament! It was great to have Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy (HBHA), Robert M. Beren Academy and Hebrew Academy Montreal in Brookline.
