Arlington National Cemetery | Memorial Day 2016
Leading up to Memorial Day, I was watching a documentary on friends and family members of veterans buried at Arlington National Cemetery. Sometimes I forget how lucky I am to live in our Nation's Capital and I put out a call on my personal facebook page, offering to take photos of gravesites for those who live too far away to visit often. On Memorial Day, my son and I went to the cemetery wtih a list of names. To say it was an emotional day is an understatement. We sat back and watched in awe.. until we got to Section 60, where we had a chance to meet friends and family members visiting some of the very gravesites we were there to photograph. The stories brought me to tears.. so honored to have been able to experience this day. Friends.. please feel free to tag yourselves in the photos I took for you.
