Description
We are a non-profit that provides educational services to improve the literacy and basic academic skills of Boulder County's under-served and low-income residents. In 14 years we have helped over 1,000 students overcome their fears and succeed at school. Legacy of Learning was established in 1998 to address the pervasive issue of illiteracy by funding students of economically challenged families. Educating small groups and individuals in schools, community centers, and other locations, we provide a comprehensive educational program that achieves a significant, measurable change in fundamental skills. We believe that difficulty in school often leads to difficulty in life, so we carefully reviewed many academic models before selecting Direct Instruction. The extraordinary results we continue to achieve are due to this curriculum and our unique system, which emphasizes strong relationships between our teachers and students. We consistently achieve a 98% success rate with every student who completes an individualized program. This success rate also includes those with learning differences.
