SATURDAY—IN THE PSALMS Chronological Bible Reading: Daniel 4-6; 1 John 5 Saturday, December 2 | Download full prayer diary at http://ow.ly/wUzO30gobZn † Psa. 95:1 O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let Us Sing to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of Creation: I love you, I adore you, I reverence you. I want to magnify you and thereby set a good example for others. When I invite someone to church let me cry, Come! But also say, let us sing. I want to make a sound that will communicate my sincerity. I may lift my hands as I lift my voice in praise and worship to you. It is not always easy for me to unite my enthusiasm with due reverence, but I do not need to destroy one of those qualities to reach the other, because your word is clear: you want me to praise you with abandonment of myself. People in some churches are so concerned about being serious they display a look of misery instead of a look of fervency. They forget how joy is as much a needed characteristic of true worship as adoration. † Psa. 95:6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. Also give me humility in my fervency. I want to praise you joyfully, but not proudly. Posture is not everything, but posture is something, for you do not hear the prayer of the neck that does not bow, or the knees that do not bend (at least in their heart). An adoring heart will often show its awe in a physical manner. I am in your family; therefore you daily feed me and fend for me. You are my God; therefore I love you well. You are my Lord; therefore I worship you highly. You belong to me; therefore I praise you completely. My pastures are not mine, but yours, and I draw my resources from your riches. Your hand is my government and my guidance. Help me love you deeper this weekend! Amen.

FRIDAY— CORPORATE PRAYER MINISTRY Chronological Bible Reading: Daniel 1-3; 1 John 4 Friday, December 1 | Download full prayer diary at http://ow.ly/wUzO30gobZn John 13:10 Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: First, Our Father: We ask for every believer in our church to feel the power of Jesus’ sprinkled blood. Let us sense we are clean throughout, and clean altogether. May we not just be secure, but have a sense and a feeling of that security, because this will give us peace and power for your Eternal Purpose. You said yourself, Exodus 12:13 …when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land… Next, give each one of us power to become the sons of God in our action. May we become more and more like Jesus, the Firstborn, as we participate in his mission. Help us fulfill the mission of the Great Commission by conquering ourselves. Help us put down every sin, drive out every evil imagination, and bring every thought into captivity by your Spirit. Help us be more perfectly consecrated to the mission and ministries of our church. May we not live like children of the Devil, nor go after the world and serve our emotions and lusts. Oh, grant us a spirit of holy boldness! Give us not again the spirit of bondage that makes us fear. Give us more and more a spirit of adoption, so we can become a people of prayer crying, Abba, Father. Lord, purify us! You pardoned us; now purify us until every strong hold is torn down in our hearts. Hear the prayers of your children. Help all our infirmities. If we are pressed-down with a load of sorrow, or perplexed and know not what to do, or are persecuted and slandered—if we in any way feel the weight of the cross today—help us, for our eyes are on you! Let not our weakness be further exaggerated by affliction, but make us rejoice in our infirmities. Amen.

THURSDAY—A DAILY PATTERN FOR PRAYER & BIBLE READING Chronological Bible Reading: Ezekiel 46-48; 1 John 3 Thursday, November 30 | Download full prayer diary at http://ow.ly/wUzO30gobZn Mark 14:16 And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover. The cross upon which Jesus died, Is a shelter in which we can hide; And its grace so free is sufficient for me, And deep is its fountain as wide as the sea Tho’ millions have found Him a friend, And have turned from the sins they have sinned, The Savior still waits to open the gates And welcomes a sinner before it’s too late. The hand of my Savior is strong, And the love of my Savior is long; Through sunshine or rain, through loss or in gain, The blood flows from Calvary to cleanse every stain. There’s room at the cross for you, There’s room at the cross for you, Tho’ millions have come, there’s still room for one Yes, there’s room at the cross for you. —Ira F. Stanphill, 1946

WEDNESDAY—REVIVAL PRAYING Chronological Bible Reading: Ezekiel 43-45; 1 John 2 Wednesday, November 29 | Download full prayer diary at http://ow.ly/wUzO30gobZn Hosea 2:18 And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely. Glorious Lord: I pray for peace today. Sometimes it seems like I drive with animals on the roads, and fly with turkeys in society! And don’t even get me going about the holiday frenzy. Basically, I need peace over earthly haters, peace in spiritual attacks, and peace about everyday distractions. Any one of these three things can keep me stirred-up and anxious, but none of them have to. Especially destroy those issues that threaten your work today. Break bow, sword, and order of battle that Satan has planned against me. Peace is profound when all the instruments of war are broken. With this peace, bring revival. I need to rest so I can stay energized. I need a time of replenishing. I need to restore. Make me fitly supplied and spiritually settled, so I can refresh during holiday hurry—not backing down in apathy, but becoming restful both in work and watchfulness for your return. Make this Holiday Season a safe one. We celebrate your first coming, but I want to reach others before your second. Help me catch my breath and make it over the hump, and remember to invite people I know to come to Christ, and come with me to hear the gospel. So right now, I give you the most pressing needs in my life and burdens on my heart. Give me grace and faith to trust you for the best outcome—that your will be done and I glorify you. Mark 6:31 Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: Lord, I can rest as long as I know you are using me! Thank you for your watchcare this season. Amen.
