Shannon Hammons and Debbie Francis captured these two photos this week and now we're really seeing those bright red and yellow colors of fall!! We'll choose our winner next week. Thank you to Lt. Mark Hollandsworth and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office for providing active shooter education to our employees, residents and the community this week. The information was very timely and helpful as we work to keep our community as safe as it can be.

FALL PHOTO CONTEST Robin Rogers submitted this photo of the beautiful fall foliage at Warm Hearth Village for our fall photo contest. The burning bushes along Warm Hearth Drive were planted by Dr. Kroontje and they offer a warm welcome to our visitors. Thank you to everyone who came out on Saturday for the Parrot Strut 5k/1Mile Run Walk at Warm Hearth Village. The weather was beautiful and a great time was had by all. Special thanks to Jocy Graham and staff for organizing the event; LewisGale Hospital Montgomery, Union and NRV Association of Realtors for sponsoring it; RunAbout Sports for official timing and everyone else who helped make it a success in raising funds for seniors in need! We hope to see you all next year!

Don't forget to come out to Zoe's in Blacksburg tonight from 5 to 8 pm for the Warm Hearth Foundation fundraiser night. When you mention Warm Hearth for dine-in, call-in, to go and online orders, the Foundation will receive 20% of the sale to benefit Neighbors in Need of housing, health care and services. It was a great day for a Homecoming pep rally at Warm Hearth! The Marching Virginians were on hand to help us pay tribute to our old friend Tony Distler and residents employees and family had a wonderful time doing the Hokie Pokey.
